Allan established ZRG in 2014. Born in Chicago, he also lived in Kansas City and Minneapolis before moving to the Seattle area. Allan graduated from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing. He spent most of his career working for the federal government, including time with the IRS as a Tax Auditor and later with the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller, Labor Relations Manager and finally as an Employment Manager in Seattle. Allan retired from federal service and spent the next seven years using his extensive federal experience as a Senior Human Resources Consultant for a technology company serving a wide variety of federal agency clients with automation-based human capital services.

Allan enjoys tennis and the outdoors, collects wine and is a lifelong motorsports fan, inexplicably waking up at 5 a.m. most Sundays to follow live Formula One races in Europe. Allan lives in Tacoma, is married and has two grown daughters.
